moving right along with the blog posts….

first up is miki + john. their wedding was this past weekend and what a wedding it was! you will see there wedding images soon. (here’s a sneak peek) here are a few of their engagement images

next up is julie + dennis. their wedding will be at the sanctuary this fall. they live down by coors field, so after a short session at washington park, we headed over to their neighborhood and photographed in their loft and jus toutside their front door

i met annie + jamie at their friends ranch just outside of red rocks park. it was fun wandering around the grounds and finding cool places to photograph. looking forward to their big day later this summer at the ranch country club.

i have photographed a couple of engagement sessions at crooked willow farms, but this was my first wedding there. i’ve got three more there this year and am looking forward to working with brendan and his staff. it was a great one with chelsea and bret. if you needed a veterinarian, this was the place to be as chelsea, bret and many of their wedding party and guests are or soon will be veterinary doctors. i had a great time and had the pleasure of reuniting for part of the day with my good friend and former 2nd shooter krista of artessa photography. she came to hang out with me and jessica and get a chance to photograph at the venue. chelsea looked great and bret with his movie star looks made for a very photogenic couple. kudos to chelsea’s mom who did a fabulous job making her gown. and it was great to work with a couple of my favorite vendors; makeup artist extraordinaire carissa passerella and jeff donovan who spun the the tunes. here are a few of the images from the day

a trip to downtown puerta vallarta., the day after the wedding. thank you katy and craig!

katy and craig’s wedding on las caletas island, about an hour’s boat ride from puerta vallarta, was simply ‘off the charts’! this one is going to be hard to top. not because of the photography, but because of how wonderful the couple and their family and friends were to work with and hang out with over the course of five days in puerta vallarta. a big thank you to marianne at the sanctuary for introducing katy and craig to me. they commissioned me to photograph their wedding, and allowed me to include my good friend and fabulous photographer phillip lloyd to co-shoot it with me. thus the broxton-lloyd tag on the images. we promise to have the broxton-lloyd website live very, very soon! the weather was perfect, the accomadations luxurious, delicious food, and even time for a few tequila beverages along the way. thank you katy and craig, it was a good one!

it has been awhile since i have posted to my blog. i’ll be catching up on things over the next week or so. a lot of the images have already been posted of my facebook page, but there will be additions here.

i photographed a skateboarder for my nephew’s clothing company 9ether. you’ll see a lot more broxtonart images on their website

i love when the museum of contemporary art calls for me to photograph one of their events. they always have something unexpectecd on tap. the sheep to shawl event was a great example. from shearing the sheep, to having two teams compete in weaving shawls on the same day.

it was a beautiful day in lakeland, florida for the wedding celebration of emily and alex. after their first look on the terrace overlooking the lake, emily and alex exchanged their vows at the all saints episcopal church to an overflow crowd. then it was off to the lakeland yacht and country club for the 500+ guests. the fried gator and grits and shrimp were among the the items in the outstanding buffet. and oh what a party! the band brought it! here are a few of the images:

krissy and shawn live in las vegas and their wedding will be in denver in june. i offered to photograph their engagement session in las vegas while i was attending the wppi convention. we had a great time, plus my good friend phillip lloyd also joined in for the shoot. i’m sure he will be posting his images on his blog soon. we started outside the mgm, and headed up the strip to the city center. here are a few of the images. looking forward to their wedding at the four seasons!
